$40,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® & $10,000 PowerBall® Winners in Rhode Island

No one won the $139 million PowerBall® jackpot on Saturday night, however the drawing resulted in $40,000 and $10,000 winners in Rhode Island.

The winning tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000.  One of the players opted to purchase the PowerPlay® for an extra dollar on the wager. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number.  The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000.  However, the winner added the Power Play® feature for an extra dollar which increased the prize to $40,000. The prizes have not been claimed.

Cumberland Shell at 4120 Mendon Rd., Cumberland sold the $40,000 winning ticket. The $10,000 winning ticket was purchased from Twin River, 100 Twin River Rd., Lincoln.

Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is at $158 million.
