Weekend of Winners
The beautiful weekend turned out to be even nicer for some Rhode Island Lottery players.
A gentleman from Tiverton cashed in a winning $12,300 Keno Plus ticket. He played a $10 wager on a 5-spot Quick Pick and matched all 5 numbers. He also opted to play Keno Plus, so his $4,100 prize was multiplied by 3 to equal $12,300. He actually just paid off his son's college tuition so he's going to use this money to pay other bills.
Step by Step Mart at 429 Main Rd., Tiverton, sold the winning ticket. This same retailer also sold a winning $25,000 Daily Numbers ticket earlier last week.
A winning $10,000 Mega Millions® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for Friday night's drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. If the winner chose to play the Megaplier® option for an additional $1, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 3, Friday's Megaplier® number, to equal $30,000.
Westerly Petromart at 249 Post Rd., Westerly, sold the winning ticket.
Then, Saturday's PowerBall® drawing resulted in another $10,000 winning ticket sold. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000.
Stop & Shop at 446 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, sold the winning ticket.
Tomorrow's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $13 million. Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $90 million.
