Rhode Island Winners Cash In

The Rhode Island Lottery was exceptionally busy this morning as validations staff distributed some big cash prizes to winners from Warwick, Westerly and Cranston.

Lisa Perreault of Warwick cashed in nine Daily Numbers tickets worth a total of $13,834 from the November 10 drawing. She played numbers 4 8 4 8 and wagered $.50 on five 4-digit straight tickets, three 4-digit box tickets and one 3-digit box ticket. She is looking forward to putting the money towards bills. 

Karen Haxtons Kent Liquors on 2334 West Shore Road in Warwick sold the winning tickets.

A $10,000 winning ticket from the October 19 Mega Millions® drawing was claimed by Gwendolyn Gencarelli of Westerly on behalf of her group. She and 15 employees at the Westerly Community Credit Union play together. Many mentioned how they'll use the money towards Christmas shopping.

The winning ticket was purchased at Westerly Petromart on 249 Post Road in Westerly.

Tonight's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $19 million.

A woman from Cranston claimed $5,000 from the Million Dollar Raffle's November 2 Early Bird Drawing. There are still three more $5,000 Early Bird Drawings, with the next one taking place at 8pm on November 23, the day after Thanksgiving. The Early Bird winners still have the chance to win another Early Bird prize or one of the 141 cash prizes given away on New Year's Eve.
The Shaw's on 8 Chapel View Boulevard in Cranston sold the winning Early Bird ticket.
