A Winning Weekend
It was a great weekend for New England. The Patriots™ won in the NFL playoffs, and some lucky Rhode Island Lottery players won loads of cash!
A $40,000 Mega Millions® ticket was sold in Rhode Island from Friday's drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number, for a standard payout of $10,000. The player opted to purchase the Megaplier® for an extra dollar on the wager, which multiplied the $10,000 prize by four, Friday's Megaplier® number, to equal $40,000. Malik's Liquor, 254 Market St., Warren, sold the winning ticket. The $40,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Tuesday's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $62 million.
Additionally, a $20,000 "Lucky Times 20" Instant Ticket has been cashed in. A gentleman from Cranston might be taking a nice vacation to Aruba now! He purchased the winning ticket at A T Casali Liquors, 1776B Cranston St., Cranston.
40 top prizes of $20,000 remain in the "Lucky Times 20" Instant Game.
Then, Saturday's PowerBall® drawing resulted in a $10,000 winning ticket sold in Rhode Island. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number for the standard payout of $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000. The winning ticket was purchased at Twin Oaks, 100 Sabra St., Cranston. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $90 million.
