$40,000 Mega Millions® Ticket Claimed
$21,000 Blackjack Tripler Winner

The $40,000 Mega Millions® ticket from the January 11 drawing has been claimed by a gentleman from North Providence. He said it's a good feeling and plans on doing good things with it, including giving some to his family. He purchased the ticket at Malik's Liquor at 254 Market Street in Warren.

The winning Quick Pick ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number, for a standard payout of $10,000.  He opted to purchase the Megaplier® for an extra dollar on the wager, which multiplied the $10,000 prize by four, the Megaplier® number, to equal $40,000. 

Friday's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $70 million.

Additionally, a gentleman from Providence won $21,000 playing the "Blackjack Tripler" Instant Ticket. He said poker and blackjack are his favorite games.  His birthday is also this Saturday!  He mentioned he'll use the money to pay bills.  Shree Maa of RI on 480 Pontiac Avenue in Cranston sold the winning ticket.
