Two $10,000 PowerBall® Tickets Sold in Rhode Island
Two lucky Rhode Islanders purchased their PowerBall® tickets while there was still power and won $10,000 each. Both tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winners did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If they had, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000.
One of the winning tickets was purchased from the Cumberland Farms, 921 Cranston St., Cranston. The other winning ticket was purchased from River Ave B&M Food Mart, 168 River Ave., Providence. Both tickets remain unclaimed.
The winning $2 million PowerBall® ticket from last Wednesday's drawing also remains unclaimed.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $50 million.
