$40,000 Mega Millions® and $10,000 PowerBall® Winning Tickets Sold
A $40,000 Mega Millions® ticket was sold in Rhode Island from Friday's drawing. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number, for a standard payout of $10,000. The winner opted to purchase the Megaplier® for an extra dollar on the wager, which multiplied the $10,000 prize by four, the Megaplier® number, to equal $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased from Phred's Drug, 1300 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston.
Tuesday's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $26 million.
Additionally, Saturday's estimated $103 PowerBall® jackpot resulted in a winning $10,000 PowerBall® ticket sold. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased from Twin River, 100 Twin River Rd., Lincoln.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $123 million.
Both winning tickets have yet to be claimed.
