He couldn't believe his eyes when he discovered the big win. He kept thinking it was mistake. His first purchase will be two matching recliners!
No one hit the estimated $126 million Mega Millions® jackpot or the estimated $191 million PowerBall® jackpot over the weekend. However, one lucky Rhode Island Lottery player is holding a winning $40,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® ticket.
The winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000. However, the winner added the Power Play® feature for an extra dollar which increased the prize to $40,000. The prize has yet to be claimed.
7-Eleven, 972 Douglas Ave., Smithfield sold the winning ticket.
Tomorrow's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $139 million. Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $222 million.
