Three $10,000 PowerBall® Tickets Sold
$20,000 & $10,000 Winning Tickets Claimed
The winning $590 million PowerBall® jackpot ticket may have been sold in Florida, but there were three $10,000 winning PowerBall® tickets sold in Rhode Island for Saturday's record-breaking drawing. These $10,000 wins are just a few of the 37,976 subsidiary prizes Rhode Island Lottery players won by matching some, but not all, of their PowerBall® numbers. The $10,000 PowerBall® tickets were sold from the following Rhode Island Lottery Retailers:
Seven Eight Six
390 Broad Street
165 Pitman Street
Stop & Shop
275 Warwick Avenue
They remain unclaimed as of 4:00pm today.
Mary Myette of Warwick was eager to show off her $20,000 win. She won on the "Lucky Times 20" Instant Ticket just a week after winning $1,000 on a "Pinball Wizard" Instant Ticket. She actually thought she was cashing in a $2,000 winning ticket. She was so happy and plans to buy some new clothes and have some fun this summer.
Mary purchased the winning ticket at Gabriel's Tiger Mart, 3344 West Shore Rd., Warwick.
Additionally, a woman from Tiverton cashed in her $10,000 PowerBall® ticket from the May 15 drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If she had, the $10,000 prize would have increased to $40,000.
She had purchased the ticket from Tiverton Liquors, 65 Main Rd., Tiverton. She plans to enjoy her winnings and go on a trip.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $40 million.
