A "Sweet" $10,000 Daily Numbers Win
$10,000 PowerBall® Ticket Claimed
Samuel Deleon Reyes of Providence won a total of $10,000 on last night's Daily Number, 3 1 0 7. He chose to play this particular number because he saw it labeled on his orange. This was actually the second Daily Numbers winner today who played that number from an orange. The winner prior to him won $2,604. Samuel opted to wager $1.00 on two 4-digit straight tickets and won $5,000 on each. He's going to Puerto Rico tonight, wearing the color orange, of course. He purchased his winning tickets at Sanchez Liquor, 425 Manton Ave., Providence.
Another $10,000 winner came forward today. A gentleman from Warwick claimed the winning $10,000 PowerBall® ticket from Saturday's drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have increased to $40,000. He plans on using the money to go to Atlantic City for the Fourth of July holiday. He purchased the ticket at Oroba's Conimicut Variety, 695 West Shore Rd., Warwick.
Saturday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $40 million.
