It was Rhode Island Day at Fenway Park on July 8! Those Sox fans who didn’t get to go Fenway, scored some sweet prizes from the Rhode Island Lottery at Picasso’s Pizza and Pub instead! Their $5 Red Sox™ Instant Ticket gave players a Raffle Ticket to win Red Sox merchandise and Red Sox Tickets! Players saved their non-winning Red Sox Instants to enter them online here for a 2nd Chance to win 2012 Spring Training™ Trips and more merchandise. Gillian`s MultiChance Keno Night
Rhode Island Lottery players were loving the free $2 Multi Chance Keno Tickets along with higher payouts during the promotion at Gillian`s in North Kingstown.
Rhode Island Lottery’s Diamond Quest
25 contestants were randomly drawn to participate in Rhode Island Lottery’s Diamond Quest, a scavenger hunt in downtown Providence, ending with a grand drawing for a 1.05 carat Diamond from Adornment Fine Jewelry. Players mailed in non-winning $20 Black Diamonds Instant Tickets to enter. The teams of two met at RiRa Irish Pub and Restaurant on Saturday, June 18, 2011 to begin the hunt. In addition to the Diamond, some teams walked away with $1,000 and $500 gift certificates to Adornment Fine Jewelry, a free engagement photo session to Sara Zarella photography and Boston Red Sox Tickets. Lite Rock 105 provided music, entertainment by radio personality, Tony Bristol; and additional prize giveaways.
The sun came out and everyone had fun learning about Providence while burning many calories at the same time! At the count of 3, one person from each team simultaneously opened wrapped jewelry boxes without knowing which one contained the diamond prize as well as the 3 other boxes that had the secondary prizes. Edward Beaudoin along with his girlfriend, Cynthia Pennacchia, won the sparkling Diamond. They have been together for 17 years and reside in Cranston. Hundreds of guests at this year’s Saltwater Fishing Show on March 11-13 got the chance to reel in a prize from the Lottery’s fish pond with every $5 Lottery purchase. Players walked away with Instant Tickets, hats, Paw Sox tickets, and Providence Bruins tickets. Participants also got the chance to win Boston Celtics tickets. There were plenty of lucky cash winners over the weekend too, with tickets winning up to $100!

Some even won Celtics Tickets, PPAC VIP Tickets, PC Basketball Tickets, Providence Bruins Tickets and Red Sox gear!

For the Pats vs. Jets Play-off game, The Rhode Island Lottery gave entry slips for every Patriots™ Instant Ticket purchased at Pancho O’ Malley’s in Narragansett. Some won Patriots™ sweatshirts, hats and t-shirts. Others won cash prizes on the Instant Ticket. And then even if you didn’t win, Lottery players could still enter their non-winning Patriots™ Instant Tickets on www.RILOT.com for a 2nd Chance to win 2011 Patriots™ Season Tickets. The deadline to do so is Friday, January 21 at midnight.
Million Dollar Raffle Jackpit Promotions
To promote this year’s Million Dollar Raffle, The Lottery brought back the Jackpit at select locations throughout the state. Prizes included Instant Tickets, IPods, PPAC Tickets, Patriots Tickets, T-Shirts, Hats and Providence Bruins Tickets that could be won with a Million Dollar Raffle purchase. Plus, Lottery VIP Members, received a “Free Scoop” in their e-mail, and were eligible to scoop two balls out.
The Lot’s first stop: Stop & Shop on Atwood Ave. in Cranston. People were getting ready for Thanksgiving and dropped by the Jackpit to try their luck. Then, the Jackpit was set up at the Warwick Mall for Black Friday. Shoppers there were glad to get the Raffle Ticket for stocking stuffers – especially since they won a prize for themselves. Next, The Lottery visited Colbea Shell on Pawtucket Ave. in East Providence for their Grand Opening of Mary Lou’s Coffee. The Lottery players and VIP’s were lined up to take part in the Jackpit – and try Mary Lou’s Coffee. Many even had their specialty iced coffee on the chilly day! Soon after, we stopped by Belmont Marketplace on Kingstown Rd. in Wakefield and Crossroads Wine & Spirits on Bulgarmarsh Rd. in Tiverton. Football fans gathered at Newport Grand on Sunday, October 24 and December 12 to catch the action of the NFL Games on flat screens there. The Rhode Island Lottery gave away Patriots™ VIP Tickets to the October 31 and December 19 home games along with Patriots™ merchandise. For every Patriots™ Instant Ticket purchased, patrons received a entry form to win the VIP Patriots™ Game Tickets. Players waited anxiously to see if their name was called at the end of the Patriots™ game. And, no one walked away empty handed. Everyone received a free $5 "Free Play" on their Newport Grand Rewards Card with every Patriots™ Instant Ticket purchase.

The Lottery joined the fun at the Precision Harley-Davidson dealership in Pawtucket on September 11. With every $20 purchase of Harley-Davidson instant tickets, players rode away with either a Harley-Davidson t-shirt or a mug set. 10 lucky winners also received $50 gift cards to the Precision dealership where they could pick out even more Harley-Davidson merchandise.
Also at the event, were the Precision Harley Davidson/WHJY 2011 Calendar Girls, the finalists for the Battle of the Band Competition, and hog-riders could treat themselves to McDonald’s Iced Teas for $1, as the event was meant to benefit the Ronald McDonald House!
Patriots™ and Harley-Davidson® Giveaway Galore

The Patriots™ and Harley-Davidson® Giveaway Galore took place Friday, August 6, at Twin River’s Lighthouse Stage. Hundreds of Lottery players participated in the evening’s festivities. There, we announced the winners of the 2nd chance drawing for the Patriots™ and Harley-Davidson® Instant Games. WEEI gave free t-shirts to the first 100 fans who showed up in Patriots™ gear and also gave away a pair of Patriots™ tickets that night! Precision Harley-Davidson had 3 bikes on display that of course you can win instantly on the Instant Game, or with the next 2nd chance drawing! Plus, with every Patriots™ and/or Harley-Davidson® Instant Ticket purchase, attendees received a entry form to take part in our Giveaway Galore events on stage. NFL greats Fred Smerlas and Steve DeOssie hosted the giveaway events by picking 12 contestants (3 different times) to head to the stage and pick a Patriots™ or Harley-Davidson® hat. Each hat had a prize under the rim, that the players couldn’t see. Once all the winners were lined up on stage, they could switch their hat, if they desired, with the person standing next to them. Then, they revealed their prizes! People won everything from Patriots™ sweatshirts, gift certificates to Fred and Steve’s Steak House, Precision Harley-Davidson® gift certificates and even a signed football and jersey!

The first 4,000 fans who entered McCoy Stadium prior to the PawSox vs. Red Wings game on July 8, received a PawSox cap compliments of The Rhode Island Lottery and WEEI.

This year, at every PawSox home game, three seats are randomly selected and announced at the beginning of the game. The lucky fans sitting in those seat numbers will win a Rhode Island Lottery prize pack if the PawSox pitcher strikes out the side in any one inning. These recent winners received 100 $1 Baseball instant tickets, 4 tickets to any PawSox game, a PawSox hat and baseball, and instant ticket scratchers.

The Lot Ladies continued to spread the word about the Mega Millions® Mystery Giveaway with the Mystery Prize Jackpit promotion on June 8th. For the rest of the month, at your favorite Rhode Island Lottery retailer, any Mega Millions® Megaplier® purchase could result in a free Mega Millions® Quick Pick to print at random. The next Mystery Prize Jackpit will be at Super Stop & Shop in Pawtucket on Wednesday, June 16th from 5-7 p.m. Again, any $4 Mega Millions® Megaplier® purchase will allow players to reach in the jackpit and uncover a prize ball…maybe even an Ipod!
Dan`s Pizza - Bike Run
On June 5, the Lottery Promotions team headed over to Dan’s Pizza Place in West Greenwich to greet all of the bikers as they finished up their bike run. It was a day filled with riding, eating, and most importantly, winning. With the purchase of a Harley-Davidson® instant ticket, riders received an entry form to win gift certificates to Dan’s Pizza Place and Ocean State Harley. Every 15 minutes, we called a name to win a $25 gift certificate to Dan’s Pizza Place. And before we left, we picked two lucky riders to get $50 to Ocean State Harley. Needless to say, we had some very happy customers, not to mention all of those lucky players who walked away with some extra cash in their pockets after winning on the Harley-Davidson® instant ticket.

The Rhode Island Lottery and Providence College team up
The Rhode Island Lottery and Providence College teamed up this past Saturday, February 6, at the PC vs. Marquette game to give away a chance to win dinner with PC Coach Keno Davis. The winners were shown on the big screen during the second half of the game. All five lucky contestants will accompany the coach on Thursday, February 18, at The Keno Davis Radio Show held at McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon.
