$42,000 Keno Plus Win
$20,000 Mega Millions® Prize Claimed from January

 

RI Lottery winnerLuis Zuluaga, Pawtucket, claimed a $42,000 Keno Plus prize from the weekend.  He wagered two dollars on an eight spot Keno game, plus another two dollars for the Keno Plus feature.  He matched all eight of his numbers to win the base prize of $21,000.  That prize was doubled to $42,000 thanks to the 2X Keno Plus multiplier.   SAAD Food Mart, 1414 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, sold the winning ticket.

RI Lottery winnerIn addition, a $20,000 Mega Millions® Megaplier® prize from the January 22, 2021, drawing, was claimed by Riverside woman, Palma Thomas.  She came into the Lottery more than six months after winning to claim her prize and had no idea how much she actually won.  Thomas matched four out of five numbers, plus the Mega Ball number, in the January drawing to win the $10,000 base prize.  However, she also added the Megaplier® feature to her ticket for an extra dollar, which doubled her win to $20,000 when the 2 multiplier was drawn. She said she'll put the money towards her retirement, as well as pay some bills. Willett Farm, 185 Willett Ave., Riverside, sold the winning Quick Pick ticket.

Tuesday's estimated Mega Millions jackpot is $242 million.

There is still one $100,000 Powerball® Power Play® prize that remains unclaimed from last year.  The winning ticket was sold from Kingstown Mobil, 6228 Post Rd., North Kingstown, for the September 2, 2020, drawing and will expire on Thursday, September 2, 2021, if it is not claimed.
