$150,000 in Powerball Prizes and a Long-Awaited Lucky for Life Win Are Claimed

Cranston, RI (September 29, 2026) – A $100,000 winning Powerball Power Play ticket from the September 19, 2026, drawing has now been claimed by a woman from Cumberland. Her ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball number for the standard prize of $50,000. However, when she added the Power Play feature for an additional dollar, that $50,000 prize was doubled to $100,000, when the 2X Power Play number was drawn. She plans to save her winnings. The ticket was sold at Pop's Liquors, 2080 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland.

A man from West Kingston also came forward to claim a $50,000 Powerball win from the August 12, 2026, drawing. He discovered his win while at a retailer checking his Powerball and Mega Millions tickets for various past drawings, and plans to "share the wealth" by giving some of the winnings to his children and grandchildren. The winning ticket was purchased at Exeter Mobil, 561A South Country Trail, Exeter.

In other Lottery news, a woman from Providence claimed the Lucky for Life second-tier prize of $25,000 a year for life from the November 24, 2025, drawing. She had misplaced the ticket and nearly gave up on it, but luckily found it before it would have expired this November. She did not know how much she had won until she came to the Lottery with the winning ticket. She plans to invest her winnings, take care of herself, and buy a home. The winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop, 850 Manton Ave., Providence.
