$182,508 Wild Money Jackpot Won

The husband, a regular Lottery player trying the game for the first time, used his last $20 on the ticket. He was stunned when he scratched it and uncovered the $1,000,000 top prize. He immediately called his wife and told her to get ready, because they were heading to Cranston to claim their winnings. The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms, 4169 Old Post Rd., Charlestown.
A Johnston man claimed a $182,508 Wild Money prize after a last-minute decision paid off. While playing his regular Mega Millions numbers, he had an extra dollar to spare and figured “Why not?,” and played a Wild Money Quick Pick. The following night, he watched the Mega Millions drawing come up empty, but a Wild Money ad reminded him of the Quick Pick still in his pocket. He checked it, realized he was a winner and was so excited he couldn't sleep all night in anticipation of picking up his check in the morning. The winning ticket was purchased at Food Mart, 514 Greenville Ave., Johnston.
