Three Rhode Island Lottery Players Win $95,000 in Mega Crossword Prizes

Cranston, RI (August 26, 2026) – A trio of Rhode Island Lottery players have the Mega Crossword Instant Game to thank for their latest good fortune, claiming a combined $95,000 in prizes.

The first Mega Crossword win went to a Cranston woman who claimed a $75,000 top prize. She initially thought she had won $1,000 and was shocked to realize she was holding a ticket worth much more. She plans to use the money to pay bills and take a mini vacation. The winning ticket was purchased at Pontiac Food Mart, 527 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.

The second Mega Crossword win was claimed by a Charlestown man who won $10,000. He bought the ticket while waiting for his wife to finish shopping at BJ's Wholesale Club, 790 Centre of N. England Blvd., Coventry.  The two briefly misplaced the ticket among the items they brought home that day but thankfully found it and scratched it to reveal the $10,000 prize.

A woman from Millville, Mass., also claimed a $10,000 win on the Mega Crossword Instant Game and plans to put the winnings into savings. The winning ticket was sold at Social Street Shell Station, 1030 Social St., Woonsocket.
