Plus, Three Numbers Wins
The Mega Millions® drawing on Friday, June 19, resulted in two $10,000 winning tickets sold in Rhode Island. Both tickets matched four numbers and the Mega Ball to win the standard prize payout of $10,000. The winners did not purchase the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar. If the players had opted for the Megaplier®, the $10,000 prizes would have been multiplied by two, the Megaplier® number for that draw, to equal $20,000.
One winning ticket was sold by Broad Street Liquors, 1032 Broad St., Providence, and claimed by a Providence man. The other winning ticket was sold by Seaside Pharmacy, 224 Post Rd., Westerly, and has yet to be claimed.
Tonight's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $35 million.
The Numbers game also brought in a few winners. Teresa Berge Santana of Central Falls claimed a $10,000 prize when she cashed in a winning ticket from the Thursday, June 18, Evening drawing. She played a $2 four-digit straight bet with the number 0 5 8 7. She purchased her ticket at 7-Eleven, 603 Hunt St., Central Falls.
A Westerly woman won $10,416 on the Numbers game as well. She said she plays Quick Picks on the Numbers game every once in a while when she's at the grocery store. This time, she decided to double her wager on a whim, and placed a $2 four-digit combo bet for the Sunday, June 21, Evening drawing. Her Quick Pick numbers 6 2 4 9 were drawn in the exact order, resulting in her $10,416 win. Stop & Shop, 149 Franklin St., Westerly, sold the winning ticket.
A North Providence man claimed $20,416 in Numbers wins. He played two wagers, a $2 four-digit straight and a $2 four-digit combo wager, using his birth year 1 9 8 3 for the Sunday, June 21, Midday drawing. All four numbers were drawn in that exact order, so he won $10,000 on his straight bet and $10,416 on his combo bet. He said he'd like to use the winnings for a trip. American Performance Petroleum Market, 964 Cranston St., Cranston, sold the winning tickets.
