Twice as Nice Giveaway Rules

Entry Guidelines:

1. The following non-winning Rhode Island Lottery Instant Ticket games can be entered into the Twice as Nice Second Chance Promotion (“Promotion”): Holiday Traditions (Game #1465), Holiday Wishes (Game #1478), ‘Tis the Season (Game #1479), Holiday Winnings (Game #1480) and It’s the most Wonderful Time of the year (Game #1481).  
2. Entries must be submitted between 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, and 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 (“Promotional Period”). Only entries submitted during the Promotional Period will be eligible to win.
3. Only registered Rhode Island Lottery VIP Club members with Standard and Plus level memberships (“VIP Members”) are eligible to enter this Promotion. VIP Club registration is free, and individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older must visit https://www.rilot.com/en-us/registration.html or download the Rhode Island Lottery mobile app to create a VIP Club account. VIP Club members with a Lite level membership can upgrade their account to a Standard or Plus level membership by logging in to their account and clicking “Upgrade.” 
4. Eligible VIP Members will need to log into their account and enter the thirteen (13)-digit serial number found above the barcode on the back of their non-winning game ticket(s) followed by the ten (10)-digit number from the ticket front under the latex scratch area. Alternatively, eligible VIP members can log into their account using the Rhode Island Lottery mobile app and scan the QR code from the front of the ticket under the latex scratch area to enter.
5. Each ticket’s serial number may be entered only one (1) time.
6. Only entries submitted online through the Rhode Island Lottery website or mobile app are eligible to win.  No other method of entry will be accepted.
7. No entries will be accepted after the final entry deadline of 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, for this Promotion.
8. The number of entries a player will receive from an eligible ticket is dependent upon the price point of the Instant Ticket game, i.e. one (1) entry for a one dollar ($1) game, two (2) entries for a two dollar ($2) game, five (5) entries for a five dollar ($5) game, and ten (10) entries for a ten dollar ($10) game. All entries under an eligible ticket’s serial number can only win once during the Promotion.
9. All eligible entries in a drawing have an equal chance of winning a prize.
10. Odds of winning any prize in this Promotion will vary depending upon the number of entries received for each drawing.
11. There is an entry cap of five hundred (500) entries per day per player.  
12. Rhode Island Lottery employees, vendors, retailers, and anyone else deemed ineligible by the Rhode Island Lottery are prohibited from entering this promotion

Drawings and Winners:

1. One (1) drawing will be held for twenty-four (24) winners.
2. The first winner drawn will win five thousand dollars ($5,000), the second winner drawn will win two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500), the third winner drawn will win one thousand dollars ($1,000), the fourth through eighth winners will win five hundred dollars ($500) each and the last sixteen (16) winners will win two-hundred-fifty dollars ($250) each.
3. Limit of one (1) winner per household for the Promotion. 
4. All prize winners will be contacted by e-mail and/or telephone within twenty-four (24) hours of the drawing date. Please be sure your VIP Club member account is updated with your latest contact information.
5. Winners must claim their prize at Rhode Island Lottery Headquarters by the claim deadline date indicated or the prize will be forfeited. Entry period, draw date, and claim deadline are posted below:
   • Entry period: 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
   • Drawing Date: Friday, January 30, 2026
   • Claim Deadline: Friday, February 27, 2026
6. The drawing date is subject to change with advance public notice.
7. Winners must provide a copy of a valid, government-issued photo I.D., and complete and sign a Rhode Island Lottery claim form to claim their prize. Winners of the one thousand dollar ($1,000), two thousand five hundred dollar ($2,500) and five thousand dollar ($5,000) prizes must also complete and sign the IRS W-9 form or provide proof of their Social Security Number.
8. All winners will be reviewed for debt owed to the State. If a winner is identified as having an outstanding debt to a State Agency or child support collected through a court, the prize will go towards satisfying that debt.
9. The Rhode Island Lottery reserves the right to disqualify winners at the time of the draw and select alternate entries if necessary.
10. Regardless of whether a winner claims the respective prize, winners’ names will be posted online through the Lottery’s website and social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and any other source deemed necessary by the Rhode Island Lottery.

General Terms and Conditions:

1. The Rhode Island Lottery makes no implied warranties of any kind with respect to the safety, appearance, or performance of any prize offered.
2. By participating in this Promotion, entrants hereby release and agree to hold harmless the Rhode Island Lottery, its directors, employees, officers and agents from any and all liability, loss, or damages arising from or in connection with the Promotion, including without exception, the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of the prize.
3. The Rhode Island Lottery, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if any prize cannot be awarded as described due to unavailability or for any other reason.  Additional restrictions and conditions specific to any particular prize will be disclosed to winners upon prize notification.
4. The Rhode Island Lottery reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Promotion, and change these rules if the drawings cannot be conducted as planned due to errors in these rules or advertising, unauthorized intervention, tampering, fraud, technical errors, viruses, worms, bugs, or any other cause beyond the control of the Rhode Island Lottery that, in the Rhode Island Lottery's sole judgement, could corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the drawings.
5. Each person participating in this Promotion agrees by the act of participation to be bound by these rules and procedures, statutes, administrative rules and procedures of the Rhode Island Lottery.
6. The Rhode Island Lottery reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it deems or suspects to be tampering with the operation of the Promotion or the associated drawings or to be acting in violation of these rules and procedures, statutes, administrative rules and procedures of the Rhode Island Lottery.
7. All entries shall be subject to verification by the Rhode Island Lottery.
8. The Rhode Island Lottery reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it deems or suspects to be tampering with the operation of the Promotion or the associated drawings or to be acting in violation of these rules and procedures, statutes, administrative rules and procedures of the Rhode Island Lottery.
9. The Rhode Island Lottery is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, damaged, or misdirected entries, or for any technical problems, malfunctions of any telephone lines, computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions, or any combination thereof.
10. The Rhode Island Lottery is not responsible for any damage to any individual’s computer or telephone system/software related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in this Promotion.
